House Mouse Happy Birthday

Hi everyone, thought I'd spend some time in my craft room seeing as the weather is so foul. One of my friend's has a birthday coming up in February so I thought I'd christen another House Mouse stamp...
I've coloured using Copics. I've displayed the gorgeous little mice using a Spellbinder Decorative label 22. The LOTV sentiment is displayed on a Spellbinder stately circle and the leaves are Olive branches by Cheery Lynn. The backing papers are First Edition (Summer Breeze). I've used an embossing folder on the turquoise panel, adding Forever Friends ribbon and some flowers from my stash, along with the Olive branch leaves. I've used Spun Sugar distress ink to tie everything together.

Here's a close up of those cute mice...

Use a doily for Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone, there's a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow. I got to choose the theme for this fortnight and picked 'Use a doily'. Here's my card...
I've used a Party Paws topper, mounted on a heart shaped doily. The sentiment is from the same topper set, mounted on a Spellbinder picot edged circle. The spotty panel has been cut using the outer 'Adorning square' die with some Forever Friends ribbon added across the corner. The spotty backing paper is Forever Friends too, and the base card is a Papermania 13.5x13.5 card blank.

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and check out the fab creations from my talented team mates.

Thanks for visiting

Happy Graduation Rachel

Hi everyone, just wanted to share a proud Mum moment. Last Thursday we attended my daughter Rachel's Graduation ceremony in Derby. Here's the card I made for her...
I've used a Bugaboo image, which I've coloured using Copics.

Here's a few piccies from the day...
Me and Rachel
Nikki and Rachel
Rachel and Ted

It was a lovely ceremony, followed by a good meal at Jimmy's World Grill and Bar, which was her favourite restaurant during her time spent living in Derby. I'm so proud of her and wish her luck in her search for employment in nursery/preschool.

Thanks for letting me share this moment with you

Show us your new stash at Sparkles

Hi everyone,

It's time for a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges. We'd love to see a project made using the new stash you got for Christmas. Here's the card I made for my bestie Sue for her birthday yesterday using the fantastic House Mouse stamp she bought me for Christmas...
I've coloured using Copics. The backing paper is First Edition 'Sweet Owl'. The sentiment is stamped on the reverse side of the backing paper. I've used Spellbinder dies (stately circles - standard and grand) adding hot fix pearls and flowers from my stash. I also got a 'Sew Stamper' for Christmas which I've used to add the detail in the bottom right hand corner.

Here's a close-up of the image...
I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and leave some love for my very talented team mates. We have a fab prize up for grabs from Marianne...

I'd like to enter this for the following:-
House Mouse and Friends - New stamp
Gruffies and Guests - Anything goes

I've only just watched these films but they're definitely in my favourites list now. I've cut and pieced this by hand cos I just couldn't resist making a Minion!!
I've made this for my niece's husband. Here's a close-up...

More than 1 fold

Hi everyone, Happy New Year! I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas.

It's never too early to start making your 2014 Christmas cards, so what better way to start than by joining us at Sparkles Christmas Challenges. This month we'd love to see more than 1 fold on your projects. Here's my little piece of inspiration...

I've started to use a Crafters Companion Traditional Christmas card set I bought with the intention of making cards for 2013 and never got round to using it. I used a Hougie board to make the folds, adding die cut poinsettias to the side pieces and a scene and sentiment to the large section. The card I folded was A4 in size so the card is quite substantial looking. I've never really used these kits before but I'm really pleased with the result, and how quickly it went together!

Now it's your turn. You could win a fab prize from our lovely sponsor...
I hope you'll take a look at the fab inspiration from my talented team mates. We can't wait to see your projects. Thank you so much for visiting me. Take care and I hope I'll see you again soon.
