A Tatty Twinkle Birthday

Hi everyone,

Here's a card I've made using my new 'Tatty Twinkles' cd. I've printed the coloured version of the image as I'm waiting for new glasses and am trying not to colour till I get them...

I've matted with black card, cutting the bunting twice, once from pink stripes and once from black card to give a shadow effect. The flower is a sizzix one that came with my big shot. I've finished off with some pearls and a sentiment. Here's a few more piccies...

Make it masculine with Creative Knockouts

Hi everyone

There's a new challenge at Creative Knockouts

Our theme this week is 'Make it masculine'.
We're being sponsored by the fabulous Dr Digi who very kindly gave me this image to play with...

He's called BBQ Bill and you can buy him here.

I've coloured using copics and have then cut him out and layered him up with various die cuts of grass and fences. I've used a sissix die to cut out the tag behind the image and added a sentiment on a cloud. When I can think of something I'll add a funny sentiment to the insert. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I think I'm going to give this to my brother in September.

I was inspired by the doctor digi blog for this one. You should check it out - there's some awesome creations on there. Here's the particular post that inspired me...Dr Digi post showing BBQ Bill

I hope you'll check out the Creative Knockouts team too and leave some love for my very talented team mates.

Thanks for visiting. I've just got back from the opticians. I've ordered some more reading glasses especially for colouring as my varifocals are set for normal reading not really close stuff....old age creeping in lol.

See you again soon

Stamping with Ruby

Hi everyone

I hope you're all well.

There's a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme is Stamping - either rubber or digital.

I chose to try out a different style and use a couple of freebies from Simply Cards and Papercraft.

I've used IndigoBlu stamps using both black and white detail embossing powder.

The sentiment has been stamped with black Versafine ink. I've punched a few flowers and used the recent freebie cutting die for the main flower, finishing off with ribbon, self adhesive pearls and a card candi.

I've used a piece of 12x12 paper from mt stash for the backing paper and have matted at 1/16th inch with dark green card.

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and leave some love for my very talented team mates. There's some awesome inspiration there for you.

Thanks for visiting. I'm off to do some more chores now. Still trying to get caught up after a fab week in Majorca with my hubby, 2 of my brothers, siser-in-law and Mum. See you all again soon.

Father's Day - In the country

Hi everyone,

Here's my final card for today. This one's for my late husband's dad...

This is another LOTV stamp (In the country ST418), again coloured with copics.
Once again the papers are Wellington 6x6. I've added some grass and a picket fence along with the blue card candi...

I chose this image as we used to have a border collie so this will remind him of Alan and Penny.

Happy Birthday Teddy

Hi everyone,

Here's the card I made for my Hubby Ted's birthday, which was on Monday...

I've used a gorgeous LOTV stamp, called James Laptop, which I've coloured using Copics. The backing papers have been in my stash for years and I thought I'd use a Kraft card blank as these seem to have been sitting about in my craft room for a while. The sentiment is a LOTV one which came free in a magazine recently. Here's a close-up...

I would like to enter this for Cute Card Thursday - So Macho.

Thanks for looking. I'll be back shortly to share Father's Day cards.

Driving test congratulations

Hi everyone,

I'm back to share the card I've just made for my daughter Rachel. She passed her driving test yesterday at the first attempt. Needless to say I'm really proud. I've used My Craft Studio (Create and Craft Occasions).

I've used the add text function to print the sentiment and displayed it using Spellbinder dies (oval and opulent oval). I used a Spellbinder framelit die and felt to make the flower, cutting 3 and adding some stamens, finished off with a couple of felt leaves...

To finish off I printed off an image of a ripped up L-plate and added it to a cocktail stick before sticking it behind the sentiment, poking it into the foam tape so it's secure...

I'm really pleased how this turned out. Thanks for looking. I'd better get ready to pick her up from work...not for much longer though. I hope she enjoys her freedom when she gets a car of her own. We live in a village so she doesn't get out to see her friends as much as she'd like at the moment.

See you again soon.

Flora and fauna with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone

It's time for a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme for this fortnight is
Flora and Fauna

Here's my little piece of inspiration...

I've used a paper from a pack I bought when I first started crafting and have never touched. I've distressed the edge of the paper using a Tim Holtz distressing tool and matted with dark green card, which I've also used on the bottom layer of the butterfly and the sentiment (both Spellbinder). I've finished off with a few self adhesive pearls on the butterfly...

I would like to enter this for the following:-

Thanks for visiting. I'm off to make a card to congratulate my daughter on passing her driving test first time yesterday. I also need to make one more Father's Day card (I've made 2 already), go shopping with my other daughter and start packing for my holiday at the weekend...a week in Majorca...so looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll find time to share some of the cards with you before I go. See you soon.

Favourite Colour Combo for Sparkles Christmas Challenges

Hi everyone

There's a new challenge over at Sparkles Christmas Challenges

We'd like to see your favourite colour combo. Here's my favourite combo for Christmas cards...

Red & Green
I've kept it simple, using a Forever Friends stamp, which I coloured using Copics. I've displayed the image on a red 'Opulent Oval' (Spellbinders) and used a green A6 card blank. I've matted the sentiment at 1/16" using red card. I've also added a red insert to the card.

Now it's your turn. You could win a prize from our fab sponsor...

Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.
