Aud Sentiments - Christmas

Hi everyone, here's my card for the latest challenge at Aud Sentiments. We're challenging you to use a Christmas or holiday sentiment...
We're sponsored by the fab Robyn's Fetish, this is one of their fantastic images. The lucky winner of this challenge will get 5 images of their choice. This one's called Paul Penguin Sleighing. I've coloured him with Copics and added glamour dust snow. I've had the backing papers in my stash for years...The sentiment came with a magazine. I've matted everything with mirri board and also die cut the snowflake from the same board. I added a gem to the snowflake and one to the hat. I've decorated the inside to match...

Thanks for visiting, I hope you'll pop over to Aud Sentiments and join in our challenge.

I would like to enter this for the following:-
Bearly mine - anything that glitters
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - sparkle and shine
 The Paper Shelter - Layers
 Make it Monday
Bizzy Becs August challenge - spots and stripes

 Happy crafting...

A little bit of Christmas magic

Hi everyone, I'm here to show you a card I've made over the last hour...finally speeding up with the colouring...
The image is a Teddy Bea one I purchased as a digi earlier on in the year. I've coloured using copics for the bear and sakura pens on the tree's candles. I also added glitter to the bear's wings. I used a peeloff I've had in my stash for years and paper pieced with it. I've then added the tree using silicon glue to give it a bit of dimension. The sentiment is a forever friends peeloff. I cut the star out using a cardboard template. Finishing touches include Dovecraft gold ribbon and a red foil star. Here are some close ups...

I've made this card especially for Winter Wonderland's Red and Green Challenge.

I would also like to enter it for the following:-

Bearly mine - anything that glitters
Willow Sketchie - Christmas
Simon says stamp - anything goes
Party Time Tuesdays - Anything goes

No image...just words

Hi everyone, it's time for another challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow. This time we're asking you to use words rather than an image...This was a bit outside my comfort zone to start with as I'm very much a cutesy image coloured with copics kinda girl. I got a set of word stamps in a sale from Joanna Sheen a few months back so here's what I came up with...
I used a Spellbinder Oval die to cut out the sentiment and another, in mirri board, to mat it. I added lace around the edge using extra sticky double sided tape, pleating it as I went. I then added 6 roses, I twisted the wires using a narrow embossing tool. The sentiment panel has been attached with silicon glue so it stands off the backing paper a bit. The backing paper is by paper cellar (6x6 black & white), and is matted onto mirri board.

I hope you'll hop over to Ruby's Rainbow and see what my talented team mates have made to inspire you, and perhaps have a go. Can't wait to see what you create...

I would like to enter this for the following:-
Joanna Sheen - Totally sentimental
The Paper Shelter - layers
PaperPlay challenges - sentiment as the main focus

Thanks for visiting, see you again soon.

Hi everyone, it's that time of the week again to share What's On Your Workdesk. I'm having to be quite secretive again as I'm working on something(s) for very close friends...
I've angled it so you can't see the card I've made...it's to the left, just below the copics... I've been playing with flowers for the other project but I've hidden all other evidence away.....so you'll have to wait a few weeks to see that... Here's the rest of the flowers...
They're sitting on my trimmer, which is awaiting a new cutting strip. Just above the trimmer is a sheet of wedding related sentiments...a clue to the card you can nearly see...I'll be able to share that one with you next week...

Anyhow, thanks for looking...I'm off to see what everyone else has been up to now. See you soon.

Sympathy

Hi everyone, just a quick share today...We recently lost my late husband's Nan at the age of 100. These are the cards I made for his Dad, Auntie and Uncle...

The sentiment is by Doodle Pantry. The butterflies are Cheery Lynn and the embossing folder is Sizzix. I don't find sympathy cards easy but I was pleased how these turned out...much nicer not to have to make them though...

I would like to enter this for Joanna Sheen - Totally sentimental

Thanks for looking, I'll be back soon with something more cheerful...

My first House Mouse card

Hi everyone, YAY!!! I've finally got some House Mouse...I've been wanting some for ages and found the perfect excuse to get some. I needed to spend my £10 credit from renewing my Create and Craft membership so I bought the project book with CD Rom :)

I've matted with lilac centura pearl card and decoupaged the mouse on the washing line. I bought the little pegs a few months ago cos I thought they were cute and finally found a use for them...

This card was so quick and simple to make, can't wait to make some more.

I would like to enter this for the following:-

Dutch Dare design team debut

Hi everyone, I'm thrilled to tell you all that I've joined the design team at Dutch Dare Card Challenges.

Our challenge for this week is 'Bling is the thing' so we want to see some bling on your creations. Here's my card...
I've made an A4 card using a Saturated Canary image, which I've coloured using Copics. The dies are both Cheery Lynn and I've also added some black lace, (don't start singing Agadoo!), from my stash. I've added gem flowers all along the lace and also on the flourish. The butterfly has gems on it and I also added 3 to the bottom of the image plate. Everything is matted with black card...this seems to be one of my favourite styles at the moment, I love how it sets the papers off. The ribbon is also from my stash. The main backing paper is from the Forever Friends pink parfait pack (I know, it's green, not pink). Here's a couple of close-ups...

I hope you'll hop on over to the challenge and have a look what my talented team mates have made for your inspiration. I do hope you'll join in the fun....you never know, you might be lucky enough to win 5 digis from Di's Digi Downloads...

I would like to enter this for the following:-
Cute Card Thursday - Bling it up
Party Time Tuesdays - Colour inspiration
Fab'n'Funky - use leaves somewhere
Divas by design - anything goes
The Play Date Cafe - Colour splash

Thank you so much for visiting, I hope you like what you see. See you again soon.

Merry Christmas Skater Girl

Hi everyone, I'm back to share a card I've made for Winter Wonderland's winter sports challenge. I've had the stamp a couple of years but I don't have the packaging so I'm not sure what make it is...
I've had a Christmas 12x12 pack for a few years too so thought this was an ideal opportunity to use these papers. I've coloured the image using copics, taking my colour scheme from the backing papers. Everything is matted with chocolate brown card. I've cut a snowflake using a Spellbinder die and added a few self adhesive pearls. I've also added a small bow with a charm hanging from it.

I would also like to enter this for :-
Crafty Ann's challenge - Christmas in August/winter olympics.
Victorine Stamps - Brown, white and 1 other colour (blue)
Allsorts Challenge - Heavy metal (charm)

Thanks for visiting, and all the lovely comments which you leave, they mean a lot. Hello to my newest followers too, I hope you enjoy sharing my crafting journey. Hope to see you all again very soon.

Motorbike card

Hi everyone, just thought I'd share this card I've made for a friend to give to her son. It's the first time I've made a card in this style, with the cross over pocket and a tag in it...

The stamp is from the magazine 'Creative Stamping' and is stamped with Rich Cocoa momento ink. The 'Son' stamp was from the same set. The ribbon started out pale pink and I coloured it with a Promarker. The tag has been inked using Rich Cocoa momento and various distress inks (antique linen, frayed burlap and pumice stone, I think). The sentiment was computer generated. I'm pleased how the tag turned out as I struggle a bit inking things.
Both triangular panels have been embossed with dots using a mask and my big shot.

I would like to enter this for the following:-
Penny's Paper-Crafty challenge - masculine
Card Crafters Circle - Rich and earthy colours
Polka Doodles - Tags

Under the weather

Hi everyone, I'm thrilled to be making an appearance as Guest designer at For Fun Challenges this week. The theme is 'Rain'. Here's my card...

I got the cute little bear image on a cd which came with Complete Cardmaking magazine, it's an image by Crafty Sentiments. I've coloured him using copics and added glossy accents to his nose, the rain drops and around his feet (puddles). The sentiment was made using Word and shaped with a Spellbinder die, the closest thing I had to a cloud. I added a flower to finish off...

I would like to enter this for the following:-
Ready Teddy Go - anything goes
Make it Monday
Bearly Mine - anything goes
A gem of a challenge - Teddies or animals
Craft your days away - anything goes

Hi everyone, Wednesday again already! Time to share what's on your work desk...

I'm working on some DT projects, hence the back to front card...you can't see that till next week...

I've zoomed in a little, just enough to see a bit more but not too much. I'm trying out a new Joanna Sheen stamp...
Here you can see the pile of debris from making a couple of Christmas cards. Must sort it soon cos I keep losing my tools under bits of card, it's driving me mad, I prefer it tidy now....
And here's a part of my craft room I don't usually show, covered in post it notes! You can also see the note book I use for writing down challenges as I see them. I also have a new magazine with some free stamps and papers. Right, I'm going to see what everyone else is up to over at Julia's place.

Thanks for dropping by, see you again soon, I hope.

Quick Christmas Pud card

Hi everyone, I'm here to share a quick card I've made over lunch time...
The image is by Pollycraft and is called Pudding Chester. I've coloured with copics with Sakura glitter pen accents (dots on pudding and holly berries). I've cut him out with a Spellbinder die and mounted him on a small green 4x4 card. I decided to leave this as a CAS card as I wanted the image to take centre stage....besides, I don't think it needs anything else.
I would like to enter this for the following:-
Crafty Hazelnut - festive food or drink
Crimbo crackers - Christmas pud
The paper shelter - clean and simple
Crafty Ann - Christmas in August
Crafty Catz - animals

I've coloured using copics. The backing papers are from the blue papermania capsule collection. Both dies are spellbinders. The sentiment was made using only the outer circle of my Justrite stamp and I've added a glittery peeloff 4. I decided to keep it clean and simple to show the image off. Hope you like it. Hi everyone, just a quick post this morning as, unfortunately, I have to get ready to go to a funeral this morning. Not a lot going on that I can show you at the moment but I just wanted to show you that my desk isn't always immaculate...
I'm still working on some Christmas cards for a friend so I can't show you those just yet and on the left are some cards that I'm not ready to share yet but may do one day. Sadly my late first husband's Nan passed away yesterday at the age of 100, so I made cards for my Father-in-law and his brother and sister.

Now it's time to pop over to Julia's stamping ground

Thanks for visiting, I'll be back later today with some exciting news...The eagle eyed amongst you mave have spotted it already.

Desiree on a swing

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm here to share a card...you might like to get your sunglasses!! I've made this card with a few challenges in mind, one of them asking for bright colours...
Well I did warn you, lol. The image is Bugaboo, or should I say images...I've tried something new and am really pleased I've sussed it cos I've wanted to do this for a while...I merged two Bugaboo digi images using Paintshop Pro. I've coloured using my Copics, really loving these pens. I've also used them on the tag, which started off white. I've had the bright orange ribbon for ages so it was nice to be able to use it finally. I think this card is lovely and summery. Hope you like it. Here are some more piccies...

WOYWW 166

Hi everyone, Wednesday already!! It's time for What's on your workdesk Wednesday

Not much going on as I've just finished the wedding stuff I was working on. Next project will probably be some more Christmas cards but I've got other things I need to do first today, so maybe later...
Here you can see the card I blogged last night Shades of lilac. Next to it you can see the paper packs I used. The gold stickles and punches are still out from the wedding cards, the prototype of which you can see in the top left of the picture...
Here you can see another larger version of the Saturated Canary digi which I've had a go at colouring in shades of green. Incidentally, check out Saturated Canary's blog as she's doing something wonderful at the minute which we can all support....I'm not telling you more...go look.
And my last piccie, I swear she hears me taking piccies and comes to pose. I gave her this bonio at least half an hour ago. She'll carry it round with her and greet everyone who either gets up or comes to visit. She won't eat it until both my daughters have got out of bed....she really is a strange labrador...As I type the bonio is sitting next to her on my craft room floor...

Anyhow, thanks for visiting. I'm going to visit Saturated Canary and then have a look what everyone else has been up to. See you soon.
