Vacation with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.

There's a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme for this fortnight is Vacation.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp called Sunny the Turtle, which I've coloured using copics. The sentiment was from a Bazoo clear stamp set which features a penguin.
I hope you'll take a look at the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates. I look forward to seeing your projects.

Sun, Sea and Sand with Sparkles

Hi everyone,
I hope you're all well.

There's a new challenge starting over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.

Our theme for this month is Sun, Sea and Sand.
Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used the House Mouse Triple cd to create a shaker card. I used Crystal Glamour Dust in the shaker...I think it looks like sand. I've used various dies (Tattered lace and tonic) and also a punch to make the flower. The sentiment is LOTV. I've added a doily and a double layer of ribbon, as well as some wired pearls and  few self adhesive gems to finish off.

I hope you'll join us. You could win a fabulous prize...

£10 goody bag

$10

I look forward to seeing your fabulous entries.

See you again soon.

An Asian theme with Ruby

Hi everyone.

It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme for this fortnight is Asian.

I found this quite a challenge as it's not my usual style. I started off trying to make an origami kimono but really wasn't happy with it...Then I remembered I have a Bonsai tree cutting die and within a few minutes had created this...

First I cut the tree from black card. Next I cut a circle from white card, which I then inked with Fired Brick Distress ink. I've then cut the next two circles up in size, one in white and one in black.
After this I die cut a square in white and the next size up in black. The sentiment is one which came free with a magazine recently, the white rectangle being cut with a die and the black using a perfect partner ruler at 1/16. The circles and squares are Tattered Lace dies and the tree and rectangle are Spellbinders. The overall card size is 4x4.

Now it's you're turn. I do hope you'll join us.

I would like to enter this for the following:-

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

Ribbon, lace or twine with Sparkles

Hi everyone,
I hope you're all well and enjoying some sunshine.
I'm quite excited today as I'm picking a new car up this afternoon. I'm hoping it's not too hot as it has black leather seats but at least I'll be able to test the air conditioning!

Anyhow, it's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges.

It seems funny making Christmas cards when it's so hot outside but you can never start too early. Our theme for this month is Use ribbon, lace or twine.
Here's my little bit of inspiration...

The backing paper has white spots all over it which I've added glitter to. It looks far more Christmassy now, even though it is from a Forever Friends Christmas paper pack.
I've added some red and green sparkly ribbon across the centre before adding my decoupaged image. I've used Tonic dies to display the image. I've finished off with one of the sentiments from the decoupage sheet matted with red card.

I hope you'll join us. You could win a fantastic prize...
