Dutch Dare #223 - Photo inspiration

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Dutch Dare and this week we have some photo inspiration for you...

We're being sponsored by Delicious Doodles and we were lucky enough to be given an image to work with. I've used Strawberry Cupcake. Here's my card...
I've tried to incorporate all the colours in the centre of the photo and chose a circular die to echo the shape of the coloured lanterns. The sentiment was a freebie with a magazine ages ago and is by Polka Doodles. I've coloured with copics and added a bit of glitter to the frosting. The papers have been kicking about in my stash for some time but matched the colour scheme perfectly. Now it's your turn....

I would like to enter this for the following:-
Songbird - Fruit
House of Gilli - Bright colours

Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

Things with wings for Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm struggling to get back into my crafting after my holiday to Lanzarote...seem to have lost my mojo a little but I'm sure it'll be back soon.

There's a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow...we'd like to see 'Things with wings'. Here's my card, made using a topper printed from a Popcorn Bear cd and featuring Souffle the Duck...
The topper is actually lilac but appears a bit blue on the photo. I've added a doily, which has been cut in two and stretched before adding self adhesive gems to the flowers on the doily. I've finished off with a silver flower and a die cut butterfly. Now it's your turn...

Sparkles Vintage/Steampunk

Hi everyone, there's a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly challenges. We'd love to see either vintage or steampunk projects. I chose the vintage option, here it is...
Sorry about the photo quality. The light is shining on part of the sentiment, which says 'with love'. The backing paper was free with a magazine some time ago and is by Websters pages petite papers - Western Romance & All about me. I've used an image from a waterfall set by Jacksons, adding a heart shaped doily, small bow and paper rose from my stash. I've used distress ink to tie everything together and butchered a daisy and dandelion message tag to make the sentiment. Hope you like it. Now it's your turn...

Thank you for visiting today, I hope you'll come back soon xx

Show Ruby your 'Inchies'

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow. We'd love to see your 'inchies'. In case you've never heard of them, these are 1 inch x 1 inch pieces of art. You can just create an inchie, as I have done, or you can incorporate them into a project. Above all just have some fun! Here's mine...

I've used a stamp set which came free with a magazine, probably years ago, which has been sitting, unused, amongst my stamps. I've coloured using copics.

Now it's your turn. I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and have a look at the work of my fab teamies. Meanwhile I'd better get on with the holiday packing.

See you soon

Happy Birthday Ted

Hi everyone, I'm back again...

Here's the card I made for my Hubby's birthday on Sunday...
I've had this LOTV stamp stashed since the summer crafting fayre last year. Ted loves planes and regularly visits Air shows with my brother Paul. I've coloured using copics with the odd bit of Sakura. The backing papers are First Edition and the distressing ink Frayed Burlap. I cut the letters out using a Tattered Lace die. The mini ticket stamps and die are by Whimsy and the buttons are from my Boofle stash.

Thanks for looking. I need to get back to sorting out my holiday stuff now, and all the other things that need doing before I go. Can't wait for my week in Lanzarote, only a couple of days now. Hopefully I should be back on here again before I go. See you all soon.
