Less is more - Yellow

Hi everyone, I hope you're all enjoying the bank holiday weekend so far....I haven't had much chance to craft for the last couple of days as we had a party for my daughter's 18th birthday yesterday and needed to take my elder daughter back to Derby, where she goes to uni, this afternoon. I've managed to sneak in a quick CAS card inbetween trying to get caught up with Hawaii 50 and Bones....still behind on NCIS and Grimm though...good job we've got Sky+.....Anyhow, here's my card...
I've used an old wooden stamp (so old the copyright says 2002!) and coloured it with promarkers in citrus shades before covering it with versamark and clear embossing powder...I always want to call it embalming fluid for some reason...I gave it 2 coats. The 'With Love' stamp is a Crafters Companion one which I got years ago with a floral set. I think the yellow and black work well together. I'm still not sure that CAS is really my style but I'll keep trying, you have to try new stuff don't you?
Before I go I'd like to show you a picture of the brilliant cake which my brother Paul had made for my daughter. It was made by someone he works with called Gemma and I think she did a fantastic job. I'll make her a Thank you card sometime this week....
Those of you who follow me regularly will know that Nikki loves Pandas. Click here to see the card I made her. Anyway it's nearly time for the next episode of Hawaii 50 so I better get this posted. It's a big day tomorrow....my first design piece for Craft Your Passion.....

I'd like to enter this card for Less is more colour challenge - yellow

Thanks for visiting, I hope to see you again soon.
Happy crafting
Helen xx
