Love you sew much
Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm here to share a card I've made to enter a challenge, for a change...I seem to only post DT pieces nowadays. I really must start making more time for crafting 'just because...'
I love House Mouse but up until Christmas I only had my project book, which I've used for this project. My best buddy Sue bought me a couple of stamp sets for Christmas and I managed to buy some Christmas ones reduced a couple of weeks ago. I spent Wednesday evening mounting them all on Cling-Too and am looking forward to making some Christmas cards soon, you can never start too early. Anyway, here's my card...
I decided to make a Mother's Day card as it won't be long now and I have 3 mums (my own, my husband's and my late husband's). This is for my mum. When I was a child she used to make me skirts and also dancing costumes. I used a Stampin Up stamp to make the cotton reels, paper pieced with white card coloured with copics and added a scissor charm. Here's a closer look...
The sentiment is computer generated and cut out using a Spellbinders Framed Tags One die (another of my new ones)...
My mum always reads the verses in cards so I've added one inside which I got from my Crafters Companion Toread cd...
As I mentioned earlier I'm entering this for the current House Mouse Challenge - I love you sew much.
Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

Sparkles - Lace it up
Hi everyone, hope you're all well. It's time for a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges and this time our theme is called 'Lace it up' and was chosen by the lovely Shaz. We'd like you to either add some lace or perhaps lace up some eyelets.
We're being sponsored by Floppy Latte Designs, who are offering the winner $6 to spend on digis at their store.
I was lucky to be given a lovely image and some papers to work with. Here is my card...
I've coloured with copics and cut the image out with a Spellbinder die (Adorning Squares). This die is one of the new ones my gorgeous hubby bought for me recently from Create and Craft. I've added some lace, ribbon and candi from my stash. This is a different style of image for me as I normally do cutsie so I'd really love to know what you think of this one. Should I start making a few more 'grown up' cards?
I hope you'll hop over and have a look at the inspiration from my fabulous team mates.
I would like to enter this for the following:-

Thanks for looking and thanks for all your lovely comments, they're always appreciated.

The 'Birthday Boy' sentiment is a Daisy and Dandelion message tag mounted on a Spellbinder Framed Tag, inked with faded jeans, with a brad added...
I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and have a look at the rest of Team A's fab inspiration. There'll be more inspiration from Team B next week.

And here's the inside...
The backing paper has been in my stash for years. I picked out one of the colours to mat the paper with and coloured my image to co-ordinate with it. I used distress ink (faded jeans) whilst the image and the sentiment were still in the Spellbinder (Decagon). The inner sentiment is computer generated. Birthday balloons
Hi everyone, I'm playing with my new toy. My lovely hubby treated me to an iPad and I'm playing about to find out what it can do. I found an app to add a signature to my photos so I don't have to use photoshop. I'm even playing with the cloud and photo stream... Ooh get me. I'm not usually that adventurous nowadays but being married to a techie geek means I need to make an effort...I used to be intelligent once...but then I had kids!
Here's a card I made for my best friend Sue's birthday last month. She bought me some House Mouse stamps for Christmas and I couldn't wait to use one....
I made a shaker card. The image has been coloured using copics. The backing paper was from a cd. The sentiment is LOTV. The sentiment was cut out with a spellbinder die. I cut the frame by hand, including a black mat, visible on both the outer and inner frame. I used extra sticky tape to add glitter to the frame, adding a star to finish off. I then added the little mouse balancing the candle, using foam pads.
I would like to enter this for House Mouse - anything goes with special cuts
Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

Be Mine for Dutch Dare
Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at
Our theme this week is 'Be Mine' so we'd like to see your Valentines creations.
Here's mine...
We were lucky enough to work with an image from our sponsor 'The Paper Shelter', this one's called Crocodile love. I've coloured using copics and used a Spellbinder Stately Circles die to cut out both the image and the sentiment, also Paper Shelter. Here are a couple of close ups...
I added a small bow to the sentiment.
The backing paper is from the Me To You With Love paper pack, which came free with a magazine recently. I've matted with black card and added black card candi to finish off. I hope you'll join us this week. I'm looking forward to seeing what you create...

Roses for Ruby
Hi everyone, I hope you're all keeping well.
It's time for a new challenge at
This fortnight we'd like to see roses on your creation. Here's my card...
I made this for a friend to give to her mum. The papers are all first edition, Spring Feast and Daydream. The distressing is Tim Holtz Forrest Moss. I stamped the papermania image using versamark and used silver detail embossing powder.
I made the roses using the Spellbinder Bitty Blossoms dies and the same papers as the backing papers. I then added a butterfly made using a Cheery Lynn die and the papers used for the image and it's backing.
I needed to make a box for this card so I used the dusky pink card I used for the matting on the front to make the lid, adding some of the backing paper and a butterfly. The bottom of the box is plain white. I used a Hougie board to make the box.
I would like to enter this for the following:-
Thank you for visiting. I hope you'll hop over to Ruby's and have a look at the wonderful examples from my talented team mates.
Hope to see you again soon.
