Anything goes with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.

I hope you're all well.

There's a new challenge starting today over at Ruby's Rainbow.

It's a nice easy theme this fortnight...
Anything goes.

Here's my little piece of inspiration...

I've used a Helz Cuppleditch Decoupage and paper pack called 'Panda Party' to make a card for my daughter Rachel to give to my other daughter Nikki for her 21st birthday on Friday May 1st. I can't believe my 'baby' is turning 21. Where did the years go? Nikki adores Pandas.

I've used mirri card to mat the image and the backing paper adding ribbon and peel offs to complete the card.

Now it's your turn. I hope you'll join us.

Thanks for visiting.

We love Mom with Crafting by Designs

Hi everyone.

I am so lucky to have been asked to be a guest designer for this week's Crafting by Designs challenge We Love Mom.

Here's one of the Mother's Day cards I made this year using my Tattered Lace Panorama die set...

The birdie paper was a freebie from the Summer Crafting workshop from 2012, mirri card and pink glitter card making up the two internal layers and burgundy card for the main construction. The banner is also from the panorama collection and the letter from a Disney die set. I've finished off with a few flowers and some wired pearls.

I hope you'll pop over and take a look at the challenge. You could win a fabulous prize of 3 digis from QKR Stampede or Alicia Bel.

Thanks for looking. See you again soon.

Ribbons and buttons with Sparkles Monthly Challenges

Hi everyone.
There's a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges

Our theme for this month is Ribbons and buttons...

The backing paper was free with a magazine ages ago.
I've made the flower and embossed the oval using free gifts which came with the latest Crafters Companion Inspiration magazine. The burgundy panel has been cut with a Tattered Lace die. I've finished off with a few leaves made using a Martha Stewart punch, several self adhesive pearls, some ribbon, a do crafts sentiment and a vellum butterfly (Crafty Lynn). The button is in the centre of the flower with pearls over the holes.

I hope you'll join us. You could win one of two fab prizes...

Crafty Ribbons £10 Voucher

or a lovely prize from Marianne Designs

CAS with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.
I hope you're all well.
I'm running a bit behind with my crafting this week. Firstly, I went to London for 5 days with my hubby Ted. We had a fantastic time seeing 4 musicals and going to the Harry Potter studio tour. We came home Sunday. Monday was spent attending my Slimming World group followed by shopping and cooking a roast dinner and visiting my best friend Sue. Then yesterday was my birthday. I had a lovely meal out with my mum followed by an afternoon of line dancing before spending the evening with my hubby and daughters. I had a doctor's appointment first thing this morning too, after which I had to get a design piece made for another challenge. The dog's walked and I've popped to a nearby supermarket so I've finally had chance to write my blog, before I start on tea for my hubby and daughters when they get home from work. Anyhow, enough of my waffle...

There's a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.
This fortnight our theme is Clean and Simple.

I've used Tattered Lace square dies. The banner is also Tattered Lace and the stars are Spellbinder, as is the sentiment.

I hope you'll join us at Ruby's.

Thanks for visiting. I'll see you again soon.

Christmas Kraft with Sparkles Christmas Challenges

Hi everyone.

I'm here again to share my design piece for the new challenge at Sparkles Christmas Challenges.

Our theme is Use Kraft Card.

I've used a Kraft card blank, adding a very cute Santa's Workshop backing paper. I've cut the reindeer  from Kraft card using a Diesire die, adding Lancashire Rose Mega Flakes to the antlers, nose and hoofs using a foiling glue pen and mounting with foam pads. I finished him off with a googly eye. I brought some chocolate brown card in, to pick out the brown in the backing paper, using a Spellbinder die, finishing it with gold adhesive pearls. I added a sentiment to a rectangle of Kraft card and finished with some twine.

Now it's your turn...

Bunnies with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.

I hope you're all well.

It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.

It's my turn to choose the theme and I picked Bunnies.

Here's my little piece of inspiration...

I've made a birthday card for my youngest daughter, Nikki, who will be 21 on May 1st.
The image is Bebunni Hip Hip Hooray, which I've coloured using Copics. I've used a craft knife to cut out the letters so that I could turn it into a shaker card, adding beads and glitter.

I added a hand made bow.
I've used various dies on this one...tonic, Spellbinder, Disney and Diesire.
The backing paper is LOTV (Nitwits Bonnets & Bowties).

I used a Disney Minnie Mouse die to cut the numbers. I never noticed when I bought the set but the letters and numbers are the reverse of how you would expect them to be. When you look at the die the image is usually in reverse. These are the right way round so the 'good side' ends up on the back. I bought them to cut MUM for my mother's day cards. As the letters M & U are reversible in this font I never noticed the problem. It was only when I cut an L I noticed. I think I might email the company that makes them.

I've finished off with some flowers and pearls and a bit more pink ribbon.

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge here and check out the gorgeous inspiration from my very talented team mates.  We'd love to see your creations, after all it's a good time to be making those bunny cards with Easter approaching.
