Christmas in July with Creative Knockouts

Hi everyone

There's a new challenge over at Creative Knockouts.

This week our theme is 'Christmas in July'.

Here's my little piece of inspiration using a super cute image from our fabulous sponsor

I've coloured using Copics and have added glamour dust to each of the penguin squares.

I've used various dies to finish off, including my new Sue Wilson 'Classic 3D bow'. The sentiment is from a Daisy and Dandelion set. I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and take a look at the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

On the beach with Ruby

Hi everyone,

There's a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme for this fortnight is 'On the beach'.

Here's my little piece of inspiration...

I used the House Mouse triple cd to print the topper. I've tried something a little different and have to say I'm not entirely happy with the outcome. It seems to be 'missing something'...maybe it's the sentiment tag? Anyhow, I hope you'll pop over and have a look at the fabulous inspiration from my team mates.

Thanks for visiting. I'm working on a commission at the moment so I can't really share that but I will be back tomorrow with another design piece. Happy crafting.

Forever Friends Wedding Congratulations

Hi everyone

I want to share a card with you which I made for my friend's wedding recently. I've used a Forever Friends stamp, coloured with Copics...

The backing papers are First Edition. I've added a variety of flowers and pearls to the bottom corner, to balance with the sentiment at the opposite corner. The image is sitting, with glue gel, on a heart shaped die cut. I added some pink lace and a few die cut details.

I've also added an insert...

The wedding was absolutely lovely. The sun shone and it was beautiful...

Sew it up with Creative Knockouts

Hi everyone

There's a new challenge at Creative Knockouts.

Our theme for this week is 'Sew it up'. We'd like to see real or faux stitching on your cards.
Here's my little piece of inspiration...

We're being sponsored by the fabulous Lacy Sunshine, who very kindly gave me this image to play with. It's called Eleanor's Heart Balloons and can be found here. I've coloured her using Copics and added glamour dust to her glasses. The backing paper is from the Party Paws cd, matted with black card. I've added faux stitching using a black fine liner.

I added some ribbon and buttons from my stash and finished off with a Cheery Lynn die cut balloon. The sentiment is LOTV with a hand doodled heart.

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and take a look. We'd love you to join in. You could be lucky enough to win 3 gorgeous Lacy Sunshine digis...

Summer Treats with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone

There's a new challenge over at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme for the next fortnight is
Edible Summer Treats

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used a Tatty Twinkles cd to print out the digi stamp, which I coloured using Copics, and also the backing paper. I've rounded the corners of the image plate and matted with black card at 1/16th. The sentiment is also from the cd, cut out with a Spellbinder Petite Labels One die and inked with Spun sugar distress ink whilst still in the die. I've added some bunting using a Signature die from Joanna Sheen. I used an adhesive sheet with the turquoise card so I could add glamour dust to make it sparkle. I've finished off with some ribbon and a small flower from my stash...

I hope you'll join us for this challenge. You can find it here.

Happy Birthday Dad

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well.

I'm here to share a card I've just made for my Father-in-law's birthday.
I've followed a sketch from The Male Room ...

Here's the sketch...

The backing paper is from the Crafters Companion Party Paws cd and has been matted at 1/16th with black card. I've used some chip board letters as templates and cut out the letters in black card by hand. The sentiment stamps are some Crafters Companion rubber stamps which I got when I first started crafting...

Thanks for looking. I'm going to link up to the challenge at The Male Room now.

Happy crafting

A winter scene with Sparkles Monthly Challenges

Hi everyone

There's a new challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges

This month our theme is 'A Winter Scene'.

Here's my little piece of inspiration...

The image and backing are from a Hunkydory set, as is the sentiment. I've added some ribbon and a flower and finished off with a pair of skates made using a die from our fabulous sponsor...

Here's a close-up of those skates, cut out in gold mirri card...

I hope you'll join us for this one.

Thanks for visiting. See you again soon x
