Challenge #9 at Digital Delights

Hi everyone.

It's time for the new challenge at Digital Delights by Louby Lou

As usual it's Anything Goes as long as there's either a digital or rubber stamped image used. Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used the super cute Harry Hedgehog, which you can find HERE.
The sentiment is also from Digital Delights and can be found HERE.
I've coloured using Copics and Atyou Spica glitter pens.
Papers : Dovecraft Sugar & Spice (12x12), Core'dinations (6x6)
Dies: Tattered Lace Squares, Charisma Frames 1, Mini Butterfly
Tonic Ovals, Spellbinder A2 curved border.
Embellishments: Organza, pearls, ladybird charm

He's so cute and great to colour. Don't worry if colouring's not your thing as you can get him already coloured if you'd prefer.

I hope you'll take the time to check out the challenge, where you can see some more fantastic inspiration using the fabulous artwork from Digital Delights.

April Showers with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.
I hope you're all well.

It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme is April Showers.
Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I started by cutting a 6x6 card blank into a circle. I flattened off the circle at the back so that the card stands correctly.  The image and backing paper have been taken from a Crafter's Inspiration cd-rom (Issue 7) using the samples from Scruffy Little Kitten. I chose a couple of complimentary colours in Core'dinations to set off the cute image. I've used various dies including Spellbinders, Tattered Lace and Marianne, adding a heart shaped doily, some organza and a little umbrella charm. I hope you like it. Now it's your turn. There's lots of fabulous inspiration over on the blog. I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations.

Happy crafting

Thinking of you with Sparkles (and a crochet update)

Hi everyone.

There's a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.

Our theme for this month is Thinking of you.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used a LOTV image from Set 27 Beautiful Blooms to make this A6 card. I cut the image out using a Tonic die. The sentiment is also LOTV, stamped with Versafine in Tuxedo black and cut with a Tonic die from the same oval set. I've used some Papermania textured cardstock for the backing, cutting into the top edge with a Die'sire Lattice Flourish Edge'able die (Crafters Companion). I kept the card simple as I don't think it needs anything else.

I hope you'll check out the challenge here.

You could win a fabulous prize from our sponsor for this month.

Thanks for visiting. I've got a friend coming to visit shortly as it was my birthday yesterday and we're long overdue a catchup.  I've got lots of new projects to try to crochet thanks to my hubby, 2 daughters and best friend Susie. I'll keep you updated.  They include some Starwars toys, some Wizard of Oz toys and various animals and Christmas projects. Enough to keep me busy for years, lol.  I've started attempting a cardigan. This is the start of the back of it...

So far so good...

Thanks for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

New Release with Digital Delights

Hi everyone.

I'm here to share the new release over at Digital Delights by Louby Lou.

We're featuring an awesome set of zodiac images. They're really cute. I was given Libra to work with so I made this card ready for my Mum's birthday in October...

You can find the image here.
I've coloured with Copics and added glitter.
I've used Spellbinder dies to display the image (circle and large stately circle).

The sentiment is part of the Birthday Sentiment set , which you can find here.
I've displayed it using Tattered Lace Charisma Frames 1 dies.

The backing papers are by First Edition from the New Leaf 8x8 pad.  I used a Go Kreate die behind the image. I've used a papermania 8x8 card blank and used black card for the matting.

To finish off I've added some gold ribbon, tied with a bow maker and printed some Tattered Lace Charisma Flowers, which I then die cut with the matching dies and arranged around the image.

I hope you'll check out the fantastic creations from the rest of Team 2.

Happy 5th Birthday to Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.

There's a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.

It's our 5th birthday and we're celebrating by giving away some candy. Pop over to the blog for more details. Our theme for this fortnight is to use your favourite colour. Here's mine...

I seem to be going through a phase of favouring blue at the moment so I chose some papers from my stash and an image from a LOTV artpad (Set 1 Vintage Boys). The image has been cut out using a Tonic die. The other two dies are Tattered Lace and the sentiment LOTV. I've used Faded jeans distress ink and finished off with some card candy. Now it's your turn...

Don't forget to check out the challenge here.

Thanks for visiting. I hope I'll see you again soon.

Bear or Mouse?

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much lately blogging cards but I've discovered a new hobby and I'm finding it very addictive! I'm learning to crochet...from books and magazines and also with my best friend Susie.  I've just finished this project and would like your opinion on what it is please!!

It's supposed to be a bear. I've only used some cheap wool (from Poundstretcher) so that probably makes a difference to him but ?????

What do you think? Is he a bear or should I try and make him a tail?

I'm slightly concerned as I'm hoping to try to make myself a cardigan and now I'm worried it'll turn out looking like something else...

Here's a couple of little dogs I've also managed to cobble together, lol

They're only key ring sized. The one on the right gave us a laugh as Susie bought me the kit to make him and also bought herself the same kit. We compared them the other day and her's is loads bigger than mine, lol. She's now called Slack Alice and she's christened me Tight A**e!!
It's certainly giving us some giggles this crocheting lark , which isn't a bad thing. You're supposed to enjoy hobbies aren't you.

Anyhow, better go. I've got someone here decorating my dining room for the next few days so I ought to go make him a coffee before I nip out to 'Fat club'.

Thanks for visiting. I really do value your feedback. Hope to see you again soon.

A CAS Christmas at Sparkles

hi everyone.

The new challenge has started at Sparkles Christmas Challenges.

Our theme for April is CAS
Clean & Simple.

Here's mine...

I made a card blank using a fairly large die, which I then folded in half. I then added a die cut poinsettia and a sentiment die cut from silver glitter card.  There's nothing more to say really...

I hope you'll join us. We have a fab sponsor for this month offering a $12 voucher to the lucky winner...

Thanks for visiting. Hope to see you again soon.
