Gone Fishing

Hello everyone....another day, another card....

This card is made using one of the stamps that my daughter bought me for Mother's Day. It's based on the Critter Sketch challenge 108 sketch.

The image is from the same illustrator as Pepper and Friends (Helz Cuppleditch), distributed by Trimcraft and is called 'Gone Fishing'. I've coloured using promarkers, cut it using Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large and edged it with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. The backing papers are from my Joanna Sheen 'Messy Rabbit' cd and I've also matted it with bronze pearlescent paper. The ribbon is from Dovecraft (Earthtones) and has been in my stash for ages. It's great I'm getting to use this stuff up since I was introduced to the wonderful world of blogging. I've added 3 metal letters to spell out DAD as I plan to give to my Dad for his birthday, even though it's not till the end of May. I've never been so organised! I've also decorated the inside....

As well as the Critter sketch challenge I would like to enter this into the following :-
Cards for Men - The great outdoors
Top tip Tuesday - Easter and/or animals
My Mum's Craft Shop - Stamp it
Divas by design - Stamp something

Easter Egg time

Hi everyone...I was really happy to have my Ferguson the hedgehog card chosen as one of the favourites over at the Pollycraft challenge blog. It's my first favourite so I'm proudly displaying my badge....

Here's my card share for today. It's another Easter card. I've used a gorgeous image which you can get for free from the wonderfully talented (and generous) Sliekje digi stamps.

I've coloured the image using promarkers and taken my colour scheme from the scrap of paper at the top of the card. All the backing papers and paper for the flower are from my scraps.

I've added a doily and some lime green ribbon across the paper join. I've also added a green organza bow to the top of the image, which was cut out using spellbinders Labels 3. I've made a flower by punching 10 flowers from blue/green mulberry paper which I threaded onto a brad before spritzing and scrunching. I've added a pearl to the centre using silver glitter glue. I haven't added a sentiment as I thought the image spoke for itself.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges:-
Ruby's rainbow - Easter
Top Tip Tuesday - Easter
Pollycraft - Choklit
Cardmaking Mamas - easter

Thanks for visiting...see you soon

Christmas Puppy

Hello again....here's a quick card I made for Crafty Hazelnut's Home for Christmas challenge.

I've used the My Craft Studio 'A Classic Christmas' cd for both the topper and the matching backing paper. All cut edges are deckle edged and I've punched the holly from coredinations card and added gem berries. The gold ribbon is from my stash. I've added a bit of glitter to the house roof.

That's another Christmas card for my box. I will be prepared this year and not panicking in early December.

Thanks for visiting...please take a look at my earlier posts and maybe leave me a message. I'd love to get more followers. See you again soon, I hope.

Easter Bunny

Good morning everyone....I hope you're well.

I just thought I'd quickly share this Easter card before I force myself to get out of my craft room and actually do some housework......It's a gorgeous LOTV image which I got free with a magazine a short while ago.

I've coloured the image with promarkers and cut it out using Spellbinders Labels Five die. I've made the base card by trimming down a sheet of A4 to make a 14.8 x 14.8 cm card in a lovely bright lime green. The backing papers are from my scraps stash, as is the ribbon and the rub on sentiment. I've added a couple of pink gems and a bright pink insert to finish off. Here's a close up of the image.

This is the first Easter card I've ever made. I don't usually send them but it seemed a shame not to use the image and I've also become seriously addicted to craft since I started this blog!

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:-

Anniversary birds

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and enjoying this glorious weather...

Here's my card..

I've kept it simple, the floral backing paper couldn't take too much fuss. It's from the Kate Knight Spring Fling designer paper stack. The image is from a stamp I've had for a couple of years and I've no idea where it came from - probably a magazine or supermarket and is coloured with promarkers and edged with distress ink (Tim Holtz Faded Jeans). The shape is spellbinders labels 5 using blue coredinations and silver mirriboard. The piece of blue ribbon is from my stash and the sentiment is a Daisy and Dandelion message tag. I'm planning to give this as an anniversary card.

I would like to enter this into the One Stop Craft Challenge #175 - clean and simple.

Thanks for looking. Hope to see you again. If you like what you see please have a look through past posts. I'd love to increase my followers and always enjoy reading your lovely comments.

Teddy Bea Birthday Wishes

Hi, I'm back with my 3rd post of the day. This time it's a Teddy Bea card.

The basecard is 14.8x14.8cms and is bright yellow. It's not very clear in the photo but the pale yellow panel has a glittered pattern on it. The backing paper is from a Bitty Scrap pad and there's also a darker yellow panel offset under the pale one. I've coloured the image with promarkers and the wings and star on the wand are glittered with pale lemon glitter. The image and sentiment, which I printed using Word, have been cut out with spellbinders Petite Ovals Large. The flowers are from my stash, as is the ribbon and button.

I would like to enter this card into the Teddy Bo Challenge - Easter or Buttons and bows
and Passion for promarkers - ribbons and bows

Thanks for stopping bye. I'd love it if you left me a message.

Birthday time easel

Hello again, I'm back with another card to share...

This time I've made a shaped easel card using Spellbinders Labels 5. The backing paper is from my scraps drawer and is one I printed onto gold pearlescent paper a couple of years ago. The image is Daisy and Dandelion stamped with momento Rich Cocoa ink. I decided the image was quite striking as it was so haven't coloured it. I've used a few buttons from my stash as the stopper and added a Daisy and Dandelion sentiment. As you may have guessed from the colours and lack of fuss and frills, this card is for a man.

I would like to enter this in the following challenges :-

Lumpy

Hello everyone. I'm having a craft day so I may have a few posts today. It's a bit of a sad day for me today as it's the 9th anniversary of losing my first husband in a tragic accident so I'm trying to keep myself busy.

Here's the first card I'd like to share with you today.

The card is A5 in size with backing paper from Woodland Folk. Lumpy has been cut on the cricut from the Pooh and Friends cartridge and has a Purple Centura Pearl oval behind him (Spellbinders Petite Ovals Large). I've added a strip of white lace with a strip of purple ribbon on top, both from my stash. The flowers are from Docrafts and the buttons are some I've been hoarding for years. It's good to be using some of this stuff at last. I haven't added a sentiment so I can add an appropriate one later when I want to send it to someone.

I've based the card on a sketch for the Critter Sketch Challenge #108.
I'd also like to enter it in Glitter Geeks week 12 - Disney,
Scrapbook Sisters card challenge 76 - Anything goes
and Crafty purple frog challenge 37 - anything goes

I hope you like my card. Thank you for visiting. Your comments are always appreciated. Happy crafting.

Two bad mice

Hi everyone, hope you're well and enjoying the beautiful weather....The day got off to a wonderful start this morning when I found out I'd won a giveaway over on Kirsty Wiseman's blog. Take a look at her blog, I particularly like her URL but I'm not gonna spoil it, go take a peek.

Here's a little 4x4 card I've made for Crafty Hazelnut's home for Christmas challenge.

The stamp is by Crafters Companion. My husband bought it for me when we visited the Beatrix Potter attraction at Bowness-on-Windemere last week. It's the Tale of Two Bad Mice. He also bought me Peter Rabbit and Mrs Tiggywinkle......haven't played with those yet...but watch this space. I've added the holly which has been cut out with a Spellbinders shapeability die, which I picked up in a sale, and has stickles berries. The image and its mat have been shaped using spellbinders labels 3.

Thanks for looking, see you again soon, I hope.

Ferguson

Hi everyone. Whilst reading blogs this afternoon I discovered this gorgeous little character as a freebie at Pollycraft. His name is Ferguson.

The base card has been cut using Spellbinders die Large scalloped circle LG and made into an easel card. I cut the shape out again on green and added it to the base of the card. I then cut it out on checked paper and also on white to strengthen the paper. This was added as the main part of the card, onto which the image was added. The image has been coloured with promarkers and I've added a docrafts flower, a candi as a stopper and a happy birthday peel off.

The papers are from my stash. I would like to enter this into the Pollycraft challenge - check it out and Fussy and fancy challenge - anything but square/rectangle

Thanks for visiting. I hope you like what you see. I haven't been blogging long and any comments are always greatfully received. I hope to see you again.

Hello little bear

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. I'm back from my trip to the lakes with a few new crafting goodies which I'm looking forward to trying out. I'm looking forward to making some scrapbook pages too as I haven't done any scrapbooking for a long time. I might share a couple of pages from my dog scrapbook another day...

I want to share this card with you all. I just love the Forever Friends stamps, this one is from the New Arrival set. I have coloured using promarkers. The lace has been gathered into a circle using running stitch. The backing papers are from the Crafters Companion Souffle cd. I have also decorated the inside of the card and printed out the sentiment, which I then cut out using a spellbinders die.

Here are a few close ups. I've added small buttons to the bunting, which has been stamped onto gingham card.

Lil Cool Dude Brother card

Hi everyone, hope you're having a lovely day. I got this image as a freebie from Bugaboo. It just reminded me of my brother, well the hairstyle did anyway.

The backing papers are from my stash. The border is a spellbinders die called Fleur De Lis Border. The 'Brother' stamp is by docrafts papermania. The image and backing have both been mounted onto black card and the base card is lime green. I coloured the image with promarkers and added 3 card candi to the bottom corner.

Hoppy Birthday

Hi everyone. Just wanted to share this card I've made using a new stamp that I accidently bought last weekend....can't imagine how that happened....

I've been playing with my new Spellbinders nestabilities again, this time I've used 'Big Scalloped Ovals LG'. Incidentally, if anyone has any good ideas for storing Spellbinders dies I would very much like to hear them please. The image is by Penny Black - Toadily T for Transparent. He has been coloured with promarkers. I'm really enjoying practising my colouring and blending. The backing paper is by We R Memory Keepers and the 6x6 pad is called TRAVELlight. I got these free with a magazine at some point. The ribbon is Anita's and has been sitting in my drawer for years waiting for the right opportunity and I think it goes really well with Mr. Toad. I printed an A4 sheet of different sentiments out using WORD and cut it with a matching die. The rest have been stashed for another day.  I've also added some card candi to finish off. The liner is lime green. I've made this for my daughters to give to their Uncle so didn't want to make it too fussy, less is more sometimes.

I would like to enter this card for the Totally Papercrafts #108 Male cards challenge.
I hope you like it and would love to read your comments. Thanks for visiting.

Hi everyone, I've got another Christmas card to show you. I thought I'd just have a look at the challenges I had written down and noticed Winter Wonderland's Christmas scene challenge ends this afternoon and I have a stamp I bought a few weeks ago in a sale. I figured it was time to try it out....

The stamp is from the Humphrey's Corner Collection by Crafters Companion and is called 'Feed the birds'. I've coloured him with promarkers and added glamour dust snow. The backing papers are from my stash and I've added some bright red wool (I don't have any twine yet) and some holly with pompom berries.

Christmas flower mouse

Good morning everyone. I've made another Christmas card to share. Usually I'm scrabbling about in early December but now I've discovered, and become addicted to, blogging I'm gonna have a great stash (by April at this rate!). For this card I've used another lovely image from Sliekje digi stamps. If you haven't visited her yet go have a look, she's extremely talented. I'm also quite chuffed with myself as I've managed to create a watermark for my photos.

I've used some Christmas papers I've had for a few years now by DCWV. The image has been coloured with promarkers and has glitter snow. The 'Merry Christmas' is a foil one that's meant to be confetti.

As you can see it's an easel card. The 'prop' is a piece of coredinations card which I've embossed with my bigshot and sanded. It's mounted on foam tape. There's also a strip of glitter made using double sided tape.

The flower is from the docrafts range and the brad is from my stash, another thing I've had for years! It's good to start using some of this stuff.

I hope you like this little mouse. I'm entering him in ABC Christmas Challenge - E for Evergreen ,Craft your passion #101 - Easel cards , and Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Glitter.

Thanks for visiting, hope to see you again soon.

Cupcake Thank You

Hi everyone, here's a card I've just made to thank the staff at the school where my daughter has a placement.

I've followed a sketch from  Sketch Saturday
The papers are from my stash and I've used a Martha Stewart punch on blue gingham card. The image is a freebie very kindly offered by Sliekje digi stamps and coloured with promarkers. The main cupcake has beads attached and has glamour dust icing. All the other cupcakes have a sprinkling of glamour dust and sakura glitter pen 'sprinkles'. I've used a spellbinder die to cut the image out. Flowers are from the docraft range.

Golden Wedding

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all well. I thought I'd share this card with you this morning as I probably won't have much time to craft later today.

I've embossed some gold pearlescent paper for the background using the venus embossing folder from Craft Concepts. The gold loveheart section is from the Forever Friends Black and Gold range, mounted on white card and wrapped in gold ribbon. The image is from the 'Going to the chapel' stamp set and is coloured with promarkers (ivory, vanilla and pastel pink) with sakura edging to the veil. I've shaped it using the Spellbinders Labels 3 die and added a gold rose and bow from my stash.

I've made some flowers using the Spellbinders Blossom set (dies 1,2 & 3), which I've crumpled and then added a gold rose to the centre.

The flourishes are cut from the cricut Cindy Loo cartridge and have stickles on them. The heart is also from the same cartridge, with added ribbon and gems from my stash.

Thank you for visiting. I hope you like what you see and will tell your friends. I would love it if you left me a message to let me know you stopped by.

Little Mouse

Hi everyone, another lovely day....hope you're all enjoying the sunshine. I've been working on a Golden Wedding card today which I'll probably share tomorrow when it's had chance to dry properly.

Here's a Christmas card I've just made....it's been one of those days...elbow in the stickles...glue staining the image..ha, new image and sticky pads later here's my card.

The image is a gorgeous digi stamp very generously offered for download by the very talented artist at Sliekje Digi Stamps  I've coloured it with promarkers and cut it out using Spellbinders Big Scalloped Ovals die. It's then been edged with gold brilliance ink.I've used a green A6 card blank and embossed some red card using versamark on the folder and holographic embossing powder. The border is a piece of coredinations card which has been embossed and sanded. The holly is punched from the same card and has stickles berries.

I hope you like this little mouse.I would like to enter it into the following challenges :-
