Hi everyone, here's my entry for the 3rd leg of the Sassy in the city relay. This time we had to make a CAS card. I've printed the sentiment directly onto the card and drawn a fineline black border. I've coloured Miranda using Promarkers.

WOYWW 160

Hi everyone, it's that time of the week to show everyone what's on my workdesk....
I'm working on a card for the Sassy relay at the moment. You can just see my bins etc., under my desk. I have a bin, a recycling box (which looks like it needs emptying into my blue bin outside) and a scraps box. You can also see my breakfast cuppa, nectarine and Slimming World hifi bar (new flavour Rocky Road - absolutely gorgeous!).
And here's a sneaky peek of the card, which I must finish before I go to get my hair done this morning (I'm turning into a grey yeti). Just need to finish organising my bling and then I can put it together.

I hope you'll pop over to Stamping Ground and have a nose around everyone's work spaces and maybe even display your own.

See you soon, hopefully to show you my finished card. Happy crafting. I'm a happy crafter, got a top 3 this morning for my Guinea Pig card :)

Aira Force, March 2012

Hi everyone, I thought I'd have another go at scrapbooking this afternoon. I don't do it very often and I should really. Earlier in the year I was lucky enough to have a short break to the Lake District with my hubby. It's the first time we've been away on our own since our honeymoon five and a half years ago. We've always had my daughters with us in the past so it was nice to spend some quality time together in this beautiful place. I've followed a sketch for the "Lasting memories" challenge.

I've used three colours for this page (green, black and white), although I must say the colours look completely different in real life! I've used a Martha Stewart border punch and added some hot fix gems. The title was cut on the Cricut using the Cuttin' Up cartridge, set to Holy Cow. I've also written the date in the bottom right hand corner.

I would also like to enter this for the following:-
Scrapbook Sisters scrapbook challenge - 3 colours
The Happy Scrappers - The great outdoors
Simon says stamp - anything but a card

Thanks for visiting. I hope you'll come back soon.

Sassy in the city relay : Charlotte Sassy

Hi everyone, this card is made using a free image from Sassy Studio Designs, coloured with Promarkers. It's the first challenge in a relay, check it out here.

The backing paper is from my scraps box and I've used some glitter card which I've had for years, cut with a Spellbinder Die. I've matted with black card and added a sentiment. The pearls have been coloured with a Promarker. I decided to keep it clean and simple....

I hope you'll check out the challenge and maybe join in. Thanks for visiting. See you soon.

Like the flower and the bee...

Hi everyone, I've been having a relaxing day in my craft room, just for a change, hehe. Here's a card I've made using the sketch from Sunday sketch and stamp.
The image is a Whimsy stamp which came free with Papercraft Essentials magazine, as is the sentiment, which I've cut out using the Whimsy mini ticket die. I've coloured the image with Promarkers and added glitter using Sakura pens. The bumble bee's wings have Glamour Dust on them. The papers are Beach Babe, by Fancy Pants Designs, which were free with Cardmaking and Papercraft magazine. I've also added pink and black cardstock and some ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Dexter with presents

Hi everyone, I hope you're all well. I'm here to share a Christmas card I've made using a lovely digital stamp from Pollycraft. He really is a little sweetie. I've cased one of my earlier creations, which you can see in full here.

I've coloured with Promarkers and added Glamour Dust to his body and hat. The papers are from my stash and cut using a Spellbinder die. The ribbon is an Anita's Festive one and the snowflake has been in my stash for years, I think it came with a magazine, I've added a red gem to the centre. The main backing paper has been cut with a deckle edge and all edges have been inked with Color Box pigment brush pad in Evergreen. I've also stamped a Christmas wishes sentiment (Daisy and Dandelion).

All wrapped up this Christmas

Hi everyone, just a quick post to share a Christmas card I've made this afternoon. I made it with Winter Wonderland's Christmas Teddy challenge in mind...

I've used a Daisy and Dandelion stamp featuring Squeak the bear. I've paper pieced the wrapping paper and bow and coloured Squeak with Promarkers. The backing paper is from my stash and matted with green card. I used a Martha Stewart punch to make the fancy edge on the green card strip and made a ribbon flower, adding a spotty brad from my stash. I also found a parcel charm which matched nicely. The sentiment has been split in two - the actual stamp has it all in one piece so I inked half at a time. I added 3 gems to finish off.

I'd also like to enter this for Crimbo Crackers - Anything goes.
Thank you for visiting and for your lovely comments, they're very much appreciated. I hope I'll see you again soon.

Penny Black Hedgie

Hi everyone, just a quick post cos my Mum will be here any minute for her Thursday evening visit. Here's a card I've made to fit a couple of challenges. Papers are Papermania capsule collection, matted with red card. The stamp is from Penny Black's Critter Party set and I've coloured with Promarkers. I'm really hoping to get some copics soon but for now I'm trying to adapt what I've learned. I cut the circles using the cricut as I don't have a round Spellbinder, but I do have a scalloped one! I also added 3 gems.

The roses are made of felt using the Spellbinders bitty blossoms dies.
I would like to enter this for the following :-
Secret crafter - red, white and blue
Penny Black - 5 circles

Thanks for visiting, see you soon.

Hi everyone, hope you managed to stay dry this morning! I'm back with a card I've made using lovely bright colours. The backing paper was a freebie very kindly offered by Jo at Trimgym's cards and stuff for use in the C.R.A.F.T. colour combo challenge.

The image is Pollycraft called Marley - Bloom and I've coloured using Promarkers. I've matted using purple card and also cut a butterfly using a Cheery Lynn die. I've added some purple ribbon and three pins and made a sentiment using Word.

Guinea Pig Birthday Card

Hi everyone, it's time for another challenge over at Aud Sentiments. This time we're playing Bingo.
Choose a line either vertically or horizontally, it must include a sentiment. I chose 'Happy, ribbon, die cut'. Here's my card...

The image is by Bugaboo and has been coloured with Promarkers. I've added Glamour Dust to his tummy. The strawberry backing paper is from Serif's Picnic in the park paper stack and the polka dot ones are from the Summer Goodness pack by Raspberry Road Designs. I combined some Dovecraft paper flowers and added a brad and a couple of pieces of ribbon instead of leaves. I also added a bow using the same ribbon. The sentiments are Whimsy mini tickets and they've been cut with the matching die.

I also decorated the inside of the card...

Hippy Birthday

Hi everyone, I'm back to share a card I made with a few challenges in mind. I've had the backing papers for donkey's years and have never been brave enough to use them, but this blogging lark makes you try new things, great innit? Anyway, here's my card...
The image is by Pollycraft and is called Cherry Kisses Hippy chick. I've coloured her with promarkers and used Sakura glaze pens on the rainbow on her shirt. All papers are matted with black card to contrast with the lovely bright colours. I printed the sentiment using Word and added a flower and button from my stash. I've cut a Cheery Lynn butterfly from the black card too.

I would like to enter this for the following challenges:-

Candy Canes

Hi everyone, here's my entry for Winter Wonderland's Candy Cane Challenge.

I've used a Forever Friends image which I masked to stamp the pattern on the present. I used a rub on to write on the label of the present, it looks like it's written in candy canes. The backing papers are from my stash and I've distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz tool. I stamped three candy canes using versamark and embossed them with red glitter embossing powder. I've added heat set gems and a bow and sentiment from my stash. If you look closely towards the bottom of the card you'll see some candy cane ribbon too.

Thanks for visiting, see you again soon.

WOYWW 159

Good morning, it's Wednesday again so it's time for WOYWW 159.

I'm working on a Ferrari card at the moment and I'm not entirely happy with the colour of the image yet so I'm trying a different paper to see if I can get it any better...

There's a pile of paper packs in the corner cos we've been trying to find a paper which the laser printer likes...easier said than done...you'll also spot some images I've been playing with...
You can also see the software I got free with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine this month. Here's the card I made last night, see previous post for details.
I was making sure that all the glue was thoroughly set before I put it in a cello bag and add it to my box, which you'll see perched on my printer in the next shot...
Thanks for visiting, now I'm going to have a look what everyone else has on their desks. See you soon.
