Aud's Valentine Sentiments

Hi everyone, it's time for the new challenge at Aud Sentiments. This time our theme is Valentine sentiments. Here's my DT card...

The image is from our fab sponsor

It's called Sassy Cupid. I've coloured her with Copics and added glamour dust to her wings. I coloured the arrow with an Atyou glitter pen. The backing papers came free with a magazine recently. I've added ribbon and a bow from my stash and cut the heart for the sentiment, a red peeloff, using a Spellbinder.

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and have a look at the gorgeous projects from my team mates.

Winged things for Dutch Dare

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge over at Dutch Dare. We're sponsored by Sweet n Sassy Stamps and we want to see something with wings on your creations. Here's mine...

I've printed the image a few times and decoupaged it, colouring with copics and layering with 3D glue. I used glossy accents on the eye section and angled the wings to go in at the top and out at the bottom.

I used a Spellbinder circle to cut the base layer owl out. I left it in the die and masked off the owl before I used Forest Moss distress ink. I've added a bow with an owl charm attached under the image...
The backing papers are by First Edition and are from the Daydream 6x6 pad. I added some lace and ribbon from my stash, together with some spotty candi. I've stamped the sentiment onto a foiled rectangle (this stamp came frr with a magazine). I made the flowers some time ago and found them in my stash along with the leaves, which started out a rust colour. I used forest moss distress ink and Patina Green mica powder on them.

Now it's your turn...

Ruby's Valentine

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow. This fortnight we'd like to see your Valentines cards. Here's my DT card...

I made a small 4x4 clean and simple card using up some red mirri card from my scraps box to mat a paper printed using a Serif program. I then cut the loveheart using a Spellbinder and added Worn Lipstick distress ink whilst still in the die. I've had the red peeloff in my stash for years and finished off with a self adhesive gem in the shape of a heart. I mounted the heart on foam pads.

Now it's you turn...

White on white - a guest appearance

Hi everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Crimbo Crackers and I've been asked to be a guest designer. The theme is 'White on white' and must be festive. This is the first time I've done white on white so here goes...

I've used a Marianne die to cut the poinsettias which are mounted on a circular frame, made with Spellbinder circle dies. I embossed a panel to go in the centre, added very sticky tape, to which I added glamour dust. I then attached a simple sentiment. I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and maybe have a go.

I would like to enter this for the following:-

Thanks for visiting, it's never too early to start those Christmas cards. See you soon.

Aud Sentiments Bingo

Hi everyone, there's a new challenge over at Aud Sentiments. This time we're playing Bingo. Choose any line from the grid and don't forget you must use a sentiment.

Here's my card...

I chose "You", Charm and "You". I've coloured the image using copics. The papers are First Edition 'Daydream' and the doily has been coloured with one of the copics shades used on one of the cats. I've added a 'Love You' charm, which I received in a fantastic candy from the House Mouse blog hop. The distress ink is Frayed Burlap. To finish off I added the peeloff sentiment in the bottom left.... Now it's your turn.... For this fortnight we're sponsored by
They're offering the winner 5 images of the winner's choice.

Thanks for visiting, I'll see you again very soon.

Golden Wedding Celebrations

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share a card I made before Christmas for a friend to give to her in-laws.

I've used mainly Forever Friends products for this, the papers coming from a Black and Gold kit which I got for Christmas 2011. The card itself is 8x8. The image has been coloured with copics. Here are some close-ups...

The 50 peeloff is actually attached to an acetate loveheart, cut using a Spellbinder, but you can't really see in the picture. The heart is attached to a pin which has been stuck in amongst the flowers. I also added gold and pearl wires.

This has to be one of my favourite Forever Friends stamps. I used a Spellbinder die to shape the image.

I also decorated the inside of the card adding two lovehearts. One matches the paper from the front of the card, the other is white to write on.

Dies and flowers for Sparkles Monthly

Hi everyone, it's time for another challenge over at Sparkles monthly challenges.

We'd like to see your die cuts and flowers. Here's my DT card...
I made this card for one of my daughter's best friends, she adores cows! I stamped the Flonz stamp using versamark and then used silver detail embossing powder. I then coloured with copics. The backing paper is Bazoo and the pink card is pearlescent. I've embossed the pink panel using an embossing folder.

I've layered some flowers together with a pearl brad...

I've then cut a pink love heart with a Spellbinder die and added a glitter peeloff...

I added some ribbon from my stash and also decorated the inside to match...

Anniversary birds

Hi everyone, I thought I'd share the card I made for my in-laws wedding anniversary, which was yesterday...

I've been playing with my new toy...my wonderful hubby, Ted, bought me a Big Shot Pro and some large dies for Christmas. This is the first card I've made using it. The die is a Go Kreate one. I've cut the largest one twice on white card. I folded one in half and glued it to the back as the stand. You'll see what I mean in the next photo...
I then cut out the next size down on bronze metallic paper and the smallest one from a gorgeous 8x8 pad by First Edition called Spring Feast. I used Forest Moss to distress the edges of this layer.
I then used a Marianne die to cut the birds on the loveheart using another First Edition pad, this time 6x6 called Daydream. I used the metallic bronze paper again to cut the Spellbinder heart for this to sit on.
I've finished off with a few self adhesive pearls and a peeloff sentiment.

I would like to enter this for the following:-

Chocolate, coffee and cards - For the birds
