Mother's Day Cuppa

Hi everyone

Just wanted to share one of the Mother's Day cards I made.
This one was for my mum and is made using Volume 1
of the House Mouse Project books...

I picked out a couple of the colours from the image to use as the matting and layering and flowers. The large flowers was made using a Marianne die and the small one has been made with a punch. The sentiment is a Woodware clear stamp and has been displayed on a Spellbinder Petite Label One. I've added some matching ribbon and some self adhesive pearls to finish off. The card is 8x8.

Thanks for visiting, I'll be back soon to show you the card I made for my Mother-in-law.

Happy Birthday with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone,

There's a new challenge over at

We've got an easy theme for you this time...
Happy Birthday

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used a topper from LOTV for this one. The dies are Spellbinder. I printed the backing papers from a couple of cds (Party Paws and Toread I think). I used Frayed Burlap distress ink around the image and the 2 circles and matted using brown card. I've had a piece of corrugated card in my stash for ages so I've added a strip of it, wrapping it with 2 ribbons (blue gingham and chocolate brown). I've finished off with some candi. Here's a close up of the cute image...

Now it's your turn.

Thanks for visiting, see you soon

Easter bunnies with Sparkles Monthly Challenges

Hi everyone,

There's a new challenge over at

This month our theme is 'Easter Parade'.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

As I don't really send Easter cards I've gone for the 'cute bunnies' option. This could be for either Easter or a birthday. I've used a Helz Cuppleditch stamp from the Neighbourwood range. I've coloured using Copics. Here's a close-up...

I've matted it with both black and lime green card. The sentiment is part of the stamp set, cut out with a Spellbinder die. I've finished off with some adhesive silver pearls.

Here's what you could win if you come over and join us...
Wish I could enter...I'd love that die. Unfortunately I've had a major disaster on Thursday and managed to break my old faithful Big Shot. Something's sheared off on the bottom roller so it's gonna have to go to the big wheelie bin in the sky. Luckily I've also got a Big Shot pro so all is not lost but I do need to get another little one. Good job it's my birthday soon...

Anyway, better go do something useful. Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you again soon.

Engagement congratulations

Hi everyone,
I just want to share a card which I made recently to celebrate a friend's engagement...

I've used a Forever Friends rubber stamp, which I've coloured using my favourite colouring medium - Copics (I love the way these blend). The papers are by First Edition and were bought from The Hobby House. I've used an embossing folder on the pearlescent backing paper. The heart dies are by Spellbinder, as is the sentiment die. I've used a Cheery Lynn butterfly with a pearl added. I've used 2 different ribbons, one cream and one chocolate brown. I tied a double bow with the cream and added the brown round the centre piece afterwards. I've finished off by added some flowers, pearls and leaves. The recipient loved it. Here are a few more piccies...

Happy Birthday Bear

Hi everyone,

I've been playing in my craft room this afternoon, making a birthday
card for a friend. I've recently bought a few LOTV stamps and I just
love them, especially the James the bear ones. I've used James Peeping to make this card, although I've added a bow and transformed him into Jenny!

I would like to enter this for the LOTV March challenge which
is BINGO. I chose Doily, Ribbon and twine, although I could also use the
line ribbon, pearls and flowers. Here are some close-ups...

Copics used E31, 33, 35, 50 and R20

Hi everyone

Here's my little piece of inspiration for you...

I've used one of my new LOTV 'James' stamps, which I've coloured using Copics.
I've added some glamour dust to his hat and the snow.
The die cut tree has some glittery twine wrapped around it, I thought it looked like tinsel.
What do you think? I've also added flowers, brads, ribbon, a die cut snowflake
and a pearl. Here's a close-up of James...
