Hi everyone,

I hope you're all well.

There's a new challenge at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

Here's my little bit of inspiration using the super cute Splish Splash Susie and the Feel Better Sentiment Set

I've used a cloud shaped die to cut out the sentiment (I think it's a memory box one). I've coloured her using copics, taking my colours from the backing paper, adding a handmade flower (made by my best friend Susie) as a finishing touch.  Hopefully this would make someone smile if they were feeling unwell.

Fairy Flower Power Daisy with Digital Delights

Hi everyone,

I hope you're all keeping well.

There's a new challenge at Digital Delights by Louby Loo. As usual it's anything goes as long as it features a stamp (either digital or rubber).

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used the delightful Fairy Flower Power Daisy but I've coloured her flowers differently to show it doesn't have to just be a daisy. I've used copics and added some glitter magic glitter to the wings and around the heart shape (Tattered lace die). I used paper from the Dovecraft Back To Basics Bright Spark paper pack, which I bought from our local Asda. I chose 3 co-ordinating papers and used black card for the matting. To finish off I added a flower cut using a Sue Wilson die, with a candi in the centre and 3 adhesive pearls to the top corner to balance the flower. I haven't added a sentiment so this could be used for different purposes as it is or a sentiment added later. You can find lots of lovely images, papers and sentiments if you visit the shop HERE.

Anyway, I need to go and help my hubby now. He's been sorting the summerhouse and found a jigsaw which had spilled out of its box. There should be 1000 pieces. We've counted twice and got 1003 pieces!! Now we're gonna have to make the jigsaw to find out what doesn't belong and if we've got all the bits of the original one.

I got them from a Warehouse which was selling off a load of stock quite a few years ago now. They're from some pads called cardstock Stackers by Generations. I've then set it on foam pads and added it to the striped backing paper from the Winter Wonderland collection by Crafts House. To finish off I added the Winter Wishes sentiment.

Hi everyone,

There's a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.

We'd love to see your wedding, anniversary or engagement makes.
I chose to make an anniversary card...

I've used a LOTV image from the Cute Cottage Garden artpad, which I've cut using Tattered lace dies. I embossed the front of the card blank using a mask which came free with Simply Cards & Papercraft at some point. I matted the image using Core'dinations Nostalgia Sandable card, adding some ribbon which came from The Hobby House, which is also where the charm came from. I finished off with a circadesign sentiment and a few pearls.

Meet Geoffrey

Hi everyone,

there's a new challenge starting at Ruby's Rainbow

It's my turn to choose the theme and I chose
Anything BUT a card.

I'm loving learning to crochet at the minute and want you to meet Geoffrey!

Isn't he cute? I've made him following a pattern from this book...

My best friend Susie bought me the book for my birthday in April and I love it. So far I've made the giraffe, the elephant, the monkey and the hippo. I can't decide what to make next...I have the wool to do any of the projects! We seem to be getting as addicted to buying wool as papercraft supplies, lol

Anyhow, I hope you'll pop over and take a look at the awesome inspiration from my very talented team mates. You won't be disappointed.

Red, green & white with Ruby's Rainbow (a crochet update)

Hi everyone.

I hope you're all well.

It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.
Our theme is Red, Green and White/Cream.

I decided to crochet a Christmas stocking instead of making a card. You may have read in previous posts that I'm learning to crochet. My best friend Susie bought me a couple of books and some wool for my birthday in April. I've mostly been making toys but thought I'd have a go at a stocking...

The heel part was quite tricky but I'm really pleased with the finished product. It even looks like the one on the cover of the book!

I hope you'll pop over to the challenge and check out the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Thank you so much for visiting. I hope to see you again soon.

Animal Magic with Sparkles & a DT call

Hi everyone.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I made this for my Crazy Cat Lady sister-in-law using Hunkydory's Little book of Furry Friends.  The backing paper is by First Edition and I've used a Tattered Lace die for the sentiment and the two small butterflies, which compliment the one in the image. I finished off with some spotty ribbon and a couple of pearls.

Now it's your turn...and don't forget to check out the DT call (HERE)

Thanks for stopping by. I'm going to get some more chores done before it's time to sit down and watch our local football team in the play-off final at Wembley. My two daughters are on their way to London with their Uncle and Aunty at the moment and I've got my late husband's parents coming over to watch it here as it's too much for them now to travel to Wembley and they don't have the channel on their TV. So all that's remains to be said is "Up the Mariners", good luck Grimsby Town.

April Showers with Ruby's Rainbow

Hi everyone.
I hope you're all well.

It's time for a new challenge at Ruby's Rainbow.

Our theme is April Showers.
Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I started by cutting a 6x6 card blank into a circle. I flattened off the circle at the back so that the card stands correctly.  The image and backing paper have been taken from a Crafter's Inspiration cd-rom (Issue 7) using the samples from Scruffy Little Kitten. I chose a couple of complimentary colours in Core'dinations to set off the cute image. I've used various dies including Spellbinders, Tattered Lace and Marianne, adding a heart shaped doily, some organza and a little umbrella charm. I hope you like it. Now it's your turn. There's lots of fabulous inspiration over on the blog. I look forward to seeing your wonderful creations.

Thinking of you with Sparkles (and a crochet update)

Hi everyone.

There's a new challenge at Sparkles Monthly Challenges.

Our theme for this month is Thinking of you.

Here's my little bit of inspiration...

I've used a LOTV image from Set 27 Beautiful Blooms to make this A6 card. I cut the image out using a Tonic die. The sentiment is also LOTV, stamped with Versafine in Tuxedo black and cut with a Tonic die from the same oval set. I've used some Papermania textured cardstock for the backing, cutting into the top edge with a Die'sire Lattice Flourish Edge'able die (Crafters Companion). I kept the card simple as I don't think it needs anything else.

I hope you'll check out the challenge here.

You could win a fabulous prize from our sponsor for this month.

Thanks for visiting. I've got a friend coming to visit shortly as it was my birthday yesterday and we're long overdue a catchup.  I've got lots of new projects to try to crochet thanks to my hubby, 2 daughters and best friend Susie. I'll keep you updated.  They include some Starwars toys, some Wizard of Oz toys and various animals and Christmas projects. Enough to keep me busy for years, lol.  I've started attempting a cardigan. This is the start of the back of it...

So far so good...

New Release with Digital Delights

Hi everyone.

I'm here to share the new release over at Digital Delights by Louby Lou.

We're featuring an awesome set of zodiac images. They're really cute. I was given Libra to work with so I made this card ready for my Mum's birthday in October...

You can find the image here.
I've coloured with Copics and added glitter.
I've used Spellbinder dies to display the image (circle and large stately circle).

The sentiment is part of the Birthday Sentiment set , which you can find here.
I've displayed it using Tattered Lace Charisma Frames 1 dies.

The backing papers are by First Edition from the New Leaf 8x8 pad.  I used a Go Kreate die behind the image. I've used a papermania 8x8 card blank and used black card for the matting.

To finish off I've added some gold ribbon, tied with a bow maker and printed some Tattered Lace Charisma Flowers, which I then die cut with the matching dies and arranged around the image.

I hope you'll check out the fantastic creations from the rest of Team 2.

The image has been cut out using a Tonic die. The other two dies are Tattered Lace and the sentiment LOTV. I've used Faded jeans distress ink and finished off with some card candy. Bear or Mouse?

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't been around much lately blogging cards but I've discovered a new hobby and I'm finding it very addictive! I'm learning to crochet...from books and magazines and also with my best friend Susie.  I've just finished this project and would like your opinion on what it is please!!

It's supposed to be a bear. I've only used some cheap wool (from Poundstretcher) so that probably makes a difference to him but ?????

What do you think? Is he a bear or should I try and make him a tail?

I'm slightly concerned as I'm hoping to try to make myself a cardigan and now I'm worried it'll turn out looking like something else...

Here's a couple of little dogs I've also managed to cobble together, lol

They're only key ring sized. The one on the right gave us a laugh as Susie bought me the kit to make him and also bought herself the same kit. We compared them the other day and her's is loads bigger than mine, lol. She's now called Slack Alice and she's christened me Tight A**e!!
It's certainly giving us some giggles this crocheting lark , which isn't a bad thing. You're supposed to enjoy hobbies aren't you.

Anyhow, better go. I've got someone here decorating my dining room for the next few days so I ought to go make him a coffee before I nip out to 'Fat club'.

Thanks for visiting. I really do value your feedback. Hope to see you again soon.
